Failed breakout trades successful?
Can it be a trading strategy to trade failed breakouts in forex? When a breakout fails we open position.

HI. While you can always trade failed breakouts or whipsaws, I think trading the breaks has a higher chance of winning than trading the former. Like anything in forex or in trading in general, nothing is 100% sure so in order for you to profit, you need to take the trades that have a higher probability of winning.

Can a trading strategy be formed on failed breakouts? Why not? I would suggest doing some back testing to see how effective this strategy would be before trying it out on a live account. It may or may not prove to be successful.
