Hi,
Alligator is an indicator by Bill Williams and it is basically a combination of 3SMA with different periods to show overall market trend.
In my opinion, since Moving Averages in general are lagging indicators, a combination of 3 of them is going to be a lot lagging indication.
I would actually suggest a use on a high time frame(H1+) to determine long term trend and then a different indicator/s on a lower time frames.
