The best exit for a moving average cross system is when the moving average crosses over again.

I cannot really tell you what the best EMA crossover system is as such depends on the individual's style. Though, you can check ReviewPips for reviews on the different trading systems and BapyPips's forums for discussions on the same topic.

Like my buddy ForexGump said, it's difficult to say without really knowing your system. Generally, for crossover systems, I think most people would exit when their oscillators lineup are in oversold / overbought territory and / or there was another crossover of the EMAs. For example, lets say you went long as you saw both Stochastic and RSI in oversold conditions, with the slower EMA crossing over the faster one. Once your oscillators went into overbought conditions and / or the EMAs crossed again, you would exit.

There is no best system but personally, I like to exit whenever price is at support or resistance levels with stochastic indicating oversold/overbought conditions.
