Asian markets are usually in control of the market during this time because the European and US sessions are still closed. Liquidity is very thin this time and could cause a lot of volatility spikes that could stop trades out and then reverse... Price action is at the mercy of the fewer than usual market players which could cause strong one directional moves...

hey,
you know it is not a simple Q, but in order to understand what drives the market you should know that ,forex prices are influenced by a variety of economic and political factors, but the most important factors are probably interest rates, inflation, political stability. Each of these factors, as well as large market orders, can cause high volatility of currency prices. in your case it will good for you to chose the trader you want to be.
Hope it helped you

Maybe you get clobbered by the price gaps over the weekend? There are times when the price action on Monday morning is the complete opposite of the trend in the previous week. Of course this is probably because of various economic, political, and risk factors that affect the GBPUSD pair.
