What MT4 indicator do you use for trend detecting?
I have been searching for a good trend detector for a long time. If anyone is working with good MT4 trend detector indicator, I would really appreciate if you share your experience. Thank you.

I use self-developed custom indicator called FX Pulse. It displays not only trend direction for every time frame but can show news headlines directly on the chart.

We have a number of indiactors on our webapp over at MahiFX. Alligator indicator would work well for this.
The indicator is designed to detect the beginning and exhaustion of trends from which it generates trade decisions; accordingly the indicator will typically perform poorly in ranging markets.

I use the True Trend to define the trend. It works really well. I highly recommend using it and it will help you see the market better than ever.
You will have to check the source to see a picture of the True Trend on a chart.
You can also download the indicator and attach it to your chart .
