According to Pip Diddy, the EURUSD drop was mainly caused by the doubt amongst currency traders. They believe that despite the agreement between Greece and the IMF and the EU, the crisis is still far from being averted. Rumor has it that Spain, another euro zone problem child, is asking for a 280 billion EUR bailout package too!

Yes, the situation is the same one year later.

That's why I have written the article on how to make money on EURUSD during EU zone crisis http://pipburner.com/using-the-euro...

To add to my buddy Forex Ninja's answer, let's take a look at the technical aspect. According to Big Pippin's chart art today, the EURUSD has just hit a new year to date low. The next support levels are at 1.2900 and 1.2520. We may see some corrections once price hits these points, but stay tuned to the markets - if we continue to hear more debt problems pop out of the euro zone, it may just send the EURUSD lower and lower!

It's tough to tell but, for the meantime, the path of least resistance is downwards. With all the problems in the euro zone, it's highly unlikely that investors' confidence would be restored in the near term and they'll probably be hesitant to buy up the euro. Many are saying that the greek debt problems are just the tip of the iceberg and, sooner or later, other deficit concerns could pop up from all over the region.
