I'd like to add to the answer of my mate, LittlePipper...
Use the book (Currency Trading for Dummies) to learn the concepts but real understanding can only come from market observation and analysis. Always remember that reactions to economic and technical data tends to shift as the market environment shifts.

"Intermarket Analysis: Profiting From Global Market Relationships" by John J. Murphy. This is definitely required reading for those into fundamental analysis and discretionary trading. A good basis to understand these globalized markets. (Quoted: Pipcrawler)

I also recommend Currency Trading for Dummies because it explains all the basic concepts in an easy-to-read manner. Check out ReviewPips.com for other books that traders are recommending!
