Resolved Question
Is it advisable to trade on weekends?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters
Cyclopip is right, trading on the weekends is not advisable. Some exchanges even close trading for the weekend like FXCM. In my position I know of many clients that choose to trade again starting Sunday night, but the majority wait until at least Monday morning when trading volume returns to normal.
Good question to ask, keep them coming and best of trades.

I wouldn't suggest trading on weekends. While the forex market is considered a 24hour market, that doesn't mean its open ALL the time. Nobody trades during the weekends, and what happens is that spreads widen like Moses parting the Red Sea. One thing you can try though, is to try catching any strong moves at the start of the Asian session on Monday morning (or sunday night depending where you are).

If you can avoid trading fridays and sundays you will avoid getting yourself in risk. I think is better not to trade, if you have to take all your precautions and trade wisely.
