An Expert Advisor is a robot that utilizes an automated script for a trading platform software (Mt4) to manage positions and orders automatically. It is a mechanical trading system that picks starting and stopping points for trades as well as maintain a position, without requiring a trader be present to control those actions. Emotions play a big part in trading so having an automated system definitely removes that factor.

Different systems work on different market environments. And as we all know, the market always shifts. Given this, the system that you may be using may work at one point but not on the other.

Having a system, though, would not hurt any trader.

Different robots with different programming languages.when you buy it,just try to demo trade with it first.try to discover the maximum&minimum number of pips it can catch on each trade.if out of 7 trades it wins 5,then it is a good robot.majority of this robot has their rules.you must 1st understand the rules&also discipline yourself with the rules.never forget to update the robots because they behave irrationally when they are not updated.
My own advice for you is that instead of you spending your time on robots why dont spend time to develop your own trading system&forget about robot?
