Hi. All I can say is nothing is impossible. If you can lose that much then I guess it's also possible for you to make that much. Although remember that you need to make a lot more in terms of percentages just to be back on par.
To prevent yourself from losing that much money again, you better start managing your positions well... say don't risk more than 1% of your account per trade. In that case, even if you lose you can still trade the following day. Also try to educate yourself more by first going through BabyPips' School of Pipsology and by reading some other forex materials. Also, try trading in demo for like 6 months before going live.

i've never recovered from such drawdown and I dont think you can really return to the point that you've started from with such sheer loss.
how about trading real money (in case you are) and reexamine your trading strategy in a demo account?

I haven't... but I still believe its possible if you manage your risk properly and come up with consistent gains. It might take a long while before you bounce back to breakeven but it's still doable!
